Where to Get the Finest Hotels in Minneapolis

Locating a terrific hotel when you’re on a trip to in Minneapolis isn’t actually easy, because there’s so many options! Obviously, you can choose something out of the same Minneapolis handbook which everybody and their cousin has consulted for the past few years, but that does not imply you are going to have a good experience (actually, it’d nearly promise a dreadful one!). Rather, it’s a great idea to do a little bit of researching, using your good friend the net. Locals will always know the best places to stay in their own city, just what the best rooms are, and the good months to visit their chosen parts of the city. Nevertheless, you don’t want to go up to everyone you run into in the airport in Minneapolis, asking for their hints and tips. So alternatively, we’ve produced this brief set of our 3 favorite hotels in Minneapolis for you. They are the ones we would suggest to our family when they return to visit – but because we don’t want you to imagine we’re really being biased, below are the ratings from Yelp.com:

1. Radisson Hotels & Resorts
615 Washington Ave SE
Ste A
Minneapolis, MN 55414
Neighborhood: University
(612) 379-8888

this has been my second stay at this hotel – first time was in 2007. i stayed here for 2 nights this past week and was very impressed.

the hotel has a small lounge located on the first floor near the front desk as well as a starbucks and applebees on the premises so there are good food options nearby. also the big ten (local bar) is directly across the street.

this hotel is located on the university of minnesota campus and it is worth a walk around if you have time. the hotel does offer free access to the universities rec center located directly behind the hotel. i took advantage of this and used their weights and treadmill. it is a great facility and nice perk offered by the hotel.

i stayed in a king room and they offer the sleep comfort beds. the rooms are in good condition. if you are looking for state of the art this is not for you. the tv’s are a little older, not flat screen or hd. they do have free wireless that i used with no

trouble.

Another easy review.

One Star for having amazing service. 2 PM late check out was accommodated, breakfast was delivered quickly.

Two Stars for having Esquire in the room. Not just that but also having the Big Black Book as well. Above and beyond.

Three stars for the awesome bathroom. Rain shower heads, deep soaking tub, and spa esque toiletries.

Four Stars for the perfect spa experience. The Ivy Spa Club always delivers a memorable experience. Milly did a great job.

Five Stars for the Slumbering Bed. The bed itself is 5 star worthy. Watching Rafa/Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals in a king size feather bed is literally heaven.

Dare I say a Sixth star for having a wallet saving deal on the Saturday of July 4th

weekend.

Well played Ivy.

3. Sheraton Minneapolis Midtown Hotel
2901 Chicago Ave S
Minneapolis, MN 55407
Neighborhood: Phillips

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The beds were super comfy, and blinds allowed us to sleep in after a couple long nights. Nice toiletries and great location, especially if you are a bike person. The Mid Town Green way is located directly behind this place. The staff didn’t just make me feel comfortable, they made my stay fun. Where do they get all the cute young guys that work here, and can I bring one home with me?

That’s saying a lot considering I was here for a funeral. A special thanks to Kyle, Dan, Bunbob, Keith and Katia. Everyone was great but these folks went beyond that. I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in the twin cities.
